C.E.O WINS AWARD


The Chief Executive Officer of African Media Aid (AFRIMA), an NGO in Suyani in the Brong Ahafo region in Ghana, Raphael Ahenu Jr. has   been awarded a campaigners prize by a UK based NGO. Mr. Ahenu was rewarded for his active participation in the campaign to make safe and clean water available to all. He is due to receive the award at an award ceremony in the UK early next month. Mr. Ahenu expressed great satisfaction at the recognition given to his work. He also thanked members of his team and all who helped in diverse ways to make the campaign a success. Mr. Ahenu stressed that this will be a motivational factor for his group to build on their current success as they work to make Africa and the world as a whole a  better place. He advised all who were helping make the world a better place through charities and NGO's to put in all they have and surely their works will not go unrecognized.

ACCESS TO CLEAN WATER AND SANITATION LAUNCHED 

African Media Aid (AFRIMA) and Global Media Foundation (GLOMEF), human rights and social development NGOs based in Sunyani have launched the Access to Clean Water Campaign at Odumase, the capital of the Sunayni West  District in the Brong Ahafo Region. The move is in pursuance of one of their objectives of promoting of clean water and sanitation. The event is on the theme, "Investing in Water and Sanitation: A Wise Investment for Health,Dignity and Development". The campaign is aimed at  create public awareness on the negative effects of unsafe water and poor sanitation.
